Lautaro

Lautaro, worthy of his legend
He was the most courageous, constant and obstinate of all the natives who defended the freedom of the American soil, that tells the story. He expelled the Spaniards from the cities of southern Chile and carried out three campaigns to expel them from Santiago.
Prize was offered to those who captured him alive, to send him to the king, as a sample of the great Araucanian captains that made Chile known as the "Cementerio de los Españoles". Lautaro was admired by the Spanish conquerors, against whom he had a succession of victories.
Great strategist and ingenious inventor of tactics and weapons for his people, fighting against him was an almost certain defeat for Spanish military experts.
His libertarian spirit inspired all the liberators of Spanish America, who were united by the Lautarina Lodge.
