The Brave Warrior Janequeo
The brave Janequeo, on the death of her husband Hueputan was named Toki and successfully commanded the Arauco War, for two years. This courageous Mapuche woman, nothing less than neutralized the Spanish military power, commanded the attack on the fortress of Puchunqui and in 1587, manages to defeat the invading troops.
His image has been compared to that of the maid of Orleans, Jeanne d'Arc.
